Second Humanity. The Fire Belongs to Love. The fire of the Father is the unveiled intensity of love. Let that sentence rest. The fire of the Father is the unveiled intensity of love. For many, fire was taught as the symbol of divine cruelty. The final instrument of torture. The proof that beneath love there remained a hidden violence in God. But the deeper grammar is more beautiful and more demanding. Fire clarifies. Fire reveals what a thing is. Fire purifies gold. Fire burns chaff. Fire warms the surrendered. Fire torments the defended. The difference is not in the fire. The difference is in the condition of the one who encounters it. The same sun that softens wax hardens clay. The same truth that liberates the humble threatens the false self. The same love that becomes home to the surrendered becomes agony to the one who has built an identity out of refusal. Judgment is not the Father becoming unlike Himself. Judgment is the Father unveiled. When the veil drops, reality is no longer negotiable. The hidden thing is seen. The false name loses authority. The lies that organized a life are exposed as lies. This exposure is mercy. But mercy does not always feel gentle to the defended self. If you have spent a lifetime mistaking darkness for shelter, light may feel like invasion before it feels like home. If you have built an identity around resentment, forgiveness may feel like death. If you have used religion to hide from love, the Father's face may feel unbearable. Yet the fire still belongs to love. Whatever the fire is, it belongs to the Father. And whatever belongs to the Father cannot be less than love. Quietly say: Burn what is false. Keep what is true. Undo what resists love. Bring me home without disguise. Do not fear that love ends in fire. Fear only the lie that makes fire necessary. The Father is love. And even His fire belongs to love. Second Humanity.
