The first words the Master speaks in John’s gospel are not a teaching. They are a question, put to two men who are following him without yet knowing why.

“What seek ye?”
John 1:38

Once a fortnight the House answers one question aloud. Not a topic — a question. The real one: the kind that arrives at two in the morning, when the house is quiet and you are too tired to defend yourself against it.

If you have one, send it. It does not have to be well put. It does not have to be theological. It only has to be true.

Every question is read.

Some are answered aloud.

None are ever quoted with your name unless you ask for it.

Asked for so that an answer can reach you. Nothing else is done with it.
