Privacy

This House invites honest language. That makes privacy a spiritual obligation, not a legal afterthought. The simplest version is this: your private walk stays yours unless you deliberately choose a feature that requires something more.

What Lives On Your Device

By default, the House keeps your walk in your own browser: sentences, moments, returns, practices, journal entries, the Covenant of Return, and the witness patterns of Your Becoming. You can switch to minimal memory, keep only selected sentences, or erase the device at any time.

Optional Account Sync

If you sign in, your walk can be backed up privately to your account and carried across devices. This is optional. Account sync is end-to-end encrypted — locked on your device with a key only you hold, so only you can read the backup — and it exists to preserve your place, not to make your walk visible to others.

Keeper Companion Mode

When Companion Mode is off, the House remains a local, authored practice. When it is on, selected Keeper conversation text may be sent to compose a reply or gather a gentle synthesis. Private Ledger pages are never sent to the Keeper unless you choose, page by page, to share one. The Keeper may keep the fruit of a conversation — a brief summary, a carried sentence, an invitation — but not the raw wound.

Distress Language

If the app recognizes language of acute danger, self-harm, overdose, severe withdrawal, abuse, or violence, it serves a care response before model contact. In those cases, the app does not send that distress text to the model for reflection.

What We Never Do

Erase Controls

The House separates removal into deliberate acts: clear this device, delete cloud backup, and delete account. Each one is explicit because each one removes something different.

The Plain Mechanics

Reverence should not require vagueness. Concretely:

• The site is hosted on Vercel.
• Your private walk — reading progress, carried sentences, practice state — is stored end-to-end encrypted in Supabase when you use an account — readable only by you — and only on your own device when you do not.
• Words written to the Keeper are sent to Anthropic's Claude solely to compose the reply. The raw words are not stored, and they are not used to train models. What may remain is the fruit: a brief summary you choose to keep at the close.
• The newsletter stores only the email address you give.
• Erasing your account deletes everything it held. The in-app Erase tools remove data from your device at any time.
