THE CORRECTION · WHY THE CLAIM MOVED

The boundary beneath the tab.

Sumerian da-nun-na means princely offspring. Akkadian nēbiru means crossing, and in the astronomical corpus designates whatever visible object marks an equinox—usually Jupiter, appearing annually. It is attested in Enūma Eliš V and VII, MUL.APIN, and Astrolabe B.

The shem / šamû / SHU-MU chain is invented: šamû means heaven, šumu means name, and neither derives from the other.

An unsupported claim can be revived by new evidence. These claims are contradicted by the standard lexica and a dated corpus.

THE RECORD STATE

What is public, and how precisely dated.

The claim and correction are published at tab and entry depth. Dependent copy is governed by this boundary wherever the claim appears.

Affected locationsAssessed for the Codex

Date precisionDay-level date preserved from the supplied register.

As-run reportThe source-linked report has not yet been transferred from the working record. No report has been invented to close the seam.

SOURCES · NAMED AND LOCATABLE

The evidence remains outside the claim.

An entry is not permitted to make a missing report look complete. Published source trails remain linked; pending transfers remain visibly pending.

TRANSFER STATUS

The correction is public. Its source-linked as-run report is not yet published in this Record. The wording above is transferred from the supplied standing register; it is not a substitute for the report.

SUPERSESSION

This is the current entry.

It supersedes no earlier published entry and has not been superseded. If that changes, both directions of the chain will remain visible here.
