SIKIZANA is the conversation space inside the Upper Room, for two people or a small group. Chat in your own time, or take turns when a conversation needs more care. Keeper is optional.

Understanding before moving on
Heard means understood.
Heard means someone has said back what they understood, and the original speaker has confirmed it. The mark appears beneath the original words. It means the speaker’s meaning was understood; it does not require agreement.
There is no seen, read or typing indicator for watching another person’s attention. A reply can wait. What matters is the care given when it comes.

Choose the pace that suits this conversation. Taking turns gives each person space to speak and check what was heard.
Take turns
One person speaks, with up to three messages in a speaking turn. A listener says back what they heard. The speaker can choose Yes, that’s what I meant or Not quite. If the meaning was missed, clarify and listen again before the next speaking turn. Choose Take turns with Keeper or Take turns without Keeper.
Your private thoughts
Keep a thought while you listen
You do not have to choose between remembering your thought and attending to the person speaking. Save it privately, then return to this exchange.
Saved thoughts stay in this browser on this device, separate from the shared conversation.
- Save for my turn
- Keep up to seven thoughts in this browser, private to your account and conversation.
- Ready
- Share automatically when your speaking turn arrives and automatic sending is on. Up to three messages can be shared per turn; any remaining Ready thoughts wait for a later turn.
- Held
- Keep this private until you choose to share it. When the queue is green and Share now is available, you can release one Held thought, or leave it there and write something new.
- Waiting
- A grey queue explains why saved thoughts cannot be shared yet. While you check understanding, use Send reply to address that exchange; saved thoughts stay private.
- Resume automatic sending
- Re-enable automatic sending after a pause, such as reopening the conversation or losing connection. Held thoughts stay Held. Check the reason shown beside your queue.

Where it lives
SIKIZANA runs inside the Upper Room: a conversation for two at the Well, a small group of 3–8 in the Circle, or close companions in the Hearth. Its hall holds the conversations you belong to and a door to invite one person to the Well.
Optional help
Choose Keeper’s involvement.
The Keeper setting is separate from how you take turns: Off, When asked, or Help guide us. When asked means Keeper responds to an invitation; Help guide us allows it to offer guidance during the conversation.
Each room’s consent and availability still apply. Keeper works with shared words, not your private saved thoughts. It can help clarify, but cannot confirm your meaning for you or decide who is right. You can keep talking when Keeper is unavailable.

Know what you are sharing.
Private saved thoughts stay in this browser on this device and are excluded from your personal Walk backup. Shared messages are processed by the House’s service and are not end-to-end encrypted.
Personal journals and practice records do not cross into a conversation automatically. An optional personal Walk backup is encrypted before upload; it is separate from shared conversations.
